Colors except Hawk Camouflage, Midnight Blue Jay, and TARC Cardinal Red are constructed of single-calendered ripstop nylon. Hawk Camouflage, Midnight Blue Jay, and TARC Cardinal Red have a polyurethane coating. Hexagonal chutes (12" to 30") are constructed with six flat braided nylon shroud lines with an approximate tensile strength rating of 160 lbs. Octagonal chutes (36" to 48") have eight braided nylon shroud lines with an approximate tensile strength rating of 285 lbs. Chute size is measured across parallel sides and shroud line lengths are approximately two times the canopy width.
TARC Cardinal Red is a round, 16" diameter chute that does not have stitching around the edges.
We will embroider 30 letters, numbers, and spaces of white text for $3.00. Light-colored parachutes will be embroidered with black thread. Characters are approximately 1/4" inch tall.
Why go with embroidery? Because you can personalize your chute, put your name and phone number on the chute in case someone else finds your rocket, or have your rocket just come down in style!
